Feedback plays a significant role in both our personal and professional lives.
Feedback helps us evolve. It helps us improve. It helps us learn.
It can come from our direct reports, our peers, our leaders, our friends, and our family.
I remember the first piece of feedback I received that I still practice today. It was that it’s important to get the basics right first.
Any time I took on a new role or learned a new skill, I always remembered this feedback and focused on getting the basics right first before I try to improve the process or experiment with different techniques.
Feedback, whether we take it on or not, makes us what we are today.
This week I’m going to focus on feedback. Giving feedback, receiving feedback, and how to action feedback.
