With the increase in staff working remotely, not just due to the global pandemic, it can be hard to receive feedback when you’re not in the same location as your leader.
The old phrase “no news is good news” can only last for so long before the words “silence is deafening” can enter the mind.
My advice for remote workers was to always remain in regular communication with their leader, even if it’s via instant messaging, a text message, or a weekly phone call.
If you use one of these kind of methods, then it will keep the communication lines open, allowing you to receive feedback as part of your regular conversations.
No feedback is not always a good thing. It doesn’t always mean there’s nothing for you to improve on. So I recommend staying connected to your leader so you can continue to evolve as a leader.
