Australian video editor Paul Frew delivers epic video game trailers, unforgettable wedding videos and corporate content that converts.
Looking for a video editor who makes your life easier?
I’ve been a video editor for the past six years, putting together video game trailers, wedding videos and corporate social media content for companies worldwide. Some of the organisations I’ve worked with include Habitat for Humanity, Leaders Plus, Mitch Hickman Films and Puzzleman Productions. You might have even seen my video game trailers on my YouTube channel.
While I’ve created videos for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, clients continue working with me because I don’t cause them any headaches. They appreciate my quick delivery and the speed at which I can make revisions. Several clients have also commented on how receptive I am to feedback and how I always find a way to bring their vision to life.

Video Game Trailers

Since 2025, I’ve been a member and manager of the Bins&Bytes community, a space for video game trailer, cinematic and marketing artists. The members have taught me so much about the craft, which I’ve applied to every video I create.
While I’m keen to work with any video game studio, I’m particularly interested in partnering with Australian independent developers. I’d love to shine a light on their work and help put more Aussie indie games on the map. My trailers focus on the player’s motivation, meaning the why behind the action instead of the action itself.

Featured Work

Greenhouse Trailer
This was my first video game trailer. After watching the original trailer, I wanted to tell more of the story as to why the player is wandering around an abandoned botanical garden.

Batography Trailer
This cozy game not only caught my attention because it was free, but because it had an interesting art style. For this trailer, I focussed on the gameplay elements and why the bat was taking photos.

Sea Blindness Trailer
This game was also free, but also had an interesting angle. The character realises they are in a video game. The meta element added an interesting twist that I incorporated into the trailer.

Wedding Videos

Over the past six years, I’ve created dozens of wedding films for videographers worldwide. I’ve cut together full ceremonies and receptions, produced documentary-style edits that last 20 to 40 minutes and edited highlight films ranging from five to 10 minutes in length.
Editing weddings is one of my favourite types of work. I enjoy watching the joy at the start of the day, the messy final dance at the end of the night, and everything in between. My specialty is telling a story that resonates with the couple, using a combination of vows and speeches from the event. I want them to feel like they are reliving the day and all the feelings that come with it. They should also be proud to share their film with friends, family and future children.

Featured Work

Mitch Hickman Films: Georgia + Matthew
Mitch and Camelia taught me everything I know about creating epic wedding films. I’ve created dozens of films, but this one is my favourite.

Mitch Hickman Films: Jarrod + Jayme-Lee
This was a fun wedding video to put together. There was so much amazing footage that it was a challenge to squeeze it all into a five-minute video.

Mitch Hickman Films: Laura + Tim
Here’s another one of my favourite weddings I edited. I’ve always loved the backdrop of Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat. It’s a stunning venue with incredible scenery.
My Rates (As of March 2026)
Here are my rates as of March 2026 for a highlight film up to five minutes long. They are subject to change.
The First Cut option gets the film as close to 100% ready as possible. I’ll put the film together, fix audio issues and do some colour correction. I’ll send you the Premiere project file so you can make any changes and add LUTs or other adjustments. Most of the people I work with choose this option as they like to put their own mark on it. They tend to keep the story and most of the shots I selected, but it saves you from having to sift through all the footage and prep it yourself.
The Final Cut option delivers an exported video straight to you for review and revisions. I incorporate them without question and make notes for future projects. Most of my long-term clients move to this option once they’re confident I can deliver a project that requires little to no changes.
My rates are negotiable. I’m happy to discuss adjusting my rates for consistent, ongoing work.
| Project Type | Australia (AUD) | U.S. (USD) | Canada (CAD) | U.K. (GBP) | Europe (Euro) |
| First Cut | $550 + GST | $450 | $520 | £300 | €330 |
| Final Cut | $600+ GST | $500 | $580 | £320 | €370 |

Podcast Clips

If you’re looking to build your podcast audience, creating Instagram Reels and TikToks is a great way to get attention. You don’t even need a video podcast to create this type of content. I’ve put together clips for audio-only shows using B-roll, stock footage and images of the speakers to keep it interesting.
Trailers are another great way to get your listeners hyped about a new episode. Some of the most popular podcasts on Apple and Spotify promote new shows on Instagram and Tiktok with a teaser of what to expect. I also edit full episodes for clients who’d rather not sit through hours of footage themselves.

The 3 Questions Clip
As I was listening to this episode of The 3 Questions With Andy Richter, I was picturing this as a short-form video. The clip pulls from two moments in the episode. The callback lands perfectly and ties the whole thing together.

MinnMax Episode Trailer
I’ve been a fan of Minnmax for several years. To help promote their show and build my portfolio, I put together an episode trailer. The show reposted it and several fans jumped in with lovely comments. I even got a few new followers on Bluesky.

Corporate Content

Companies worldwide have hired me to produce short-form and long-form content. I’ve put together talking heads, testimonials and social ads for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Clients have also asked me to edit documentaries, interviews and user-generated content.
My videos include subtitles, B-roll and motion graphics. Some clients request that I stick to a style guide, while others are happy for me to take the creative lead. We work together until we land on something everyone’s happy with. That might be telling a story, spreading a message or showing something visually spectacular.

Leaders Plus: Testimonial Video
I completed 12 videos for Leaders Plus, which included scaling them for different platforms and designing motion graphics. I also met with them multiple times during the project to ensure they were happy with the clips .

Habitat for Humanity: Cara Eckholm Interview
I created a series of videos for Habitat for Humanity from Zoom interviews. This one was over an hour long, but I was able to create a four-minute video with a story that resonates with viewers. It’s still one of their most popular ones.
