What Do You Need to Extract Kratom?

What Are the Steps for Extracting Kratom?

For the best results, it's important to follow the steps precisely. After you've successfully extracted Kratom, then you can adjust the measurements for the potency levels you're looking for.

Start by measuring your Kratom. You will want to use four to five ounces if you're using the tincture bottles. 

Next, mix the kratom and alcohol. Alternatively, you can use distilled water to create your extracts as well.

Put the Kratom in a jar and make sure that it's only half full. Then submerge with the alcohol or water. Ideally, you want a 1:4 ratio of Kratom to alcohol. Mix well once you've got your measurements right.

Pour the citric acid or lemon juice next and use the pH strip to check the acidity levels. You want to reach a level of pH4. Stop adding the acid once you've got to this mark.

If you want to break down the oils and fats in the mixture, you can choose to add glycerin to the mix. However, you still need to ensure there is still a 1:4 ratio after adding this ingredient. This part of the process is optional.

Pour the mixture into a sealed jar and shake it until the liquid has a smooth consistency. You've got a few methods you can choose from next. You can:

·   Put the jar in a cool, dark place for a week

·   Place the jar in a hot pot of water, let it sit for an hour, and then repeat two more times

·   Put the jar in a crockpot and cook on low heat for three days

Once the mix has set, use a strainer or cheesecloth to strain the liquid. You should also remove any leaves or particles that you spot. Then, return the liquid to the jar and leave it to evaporate.

After half of the liquid has evaporated, pour the remaining mixture into the bottles. Label your bottles with the strain you're using and its potency.
